    About the role#

    The Quantitative Risk Management Summer Analyst program is a 10-week developmental opportunity for students to gain experience in risk management, governance, and best practices. You will work within specific disciplines such as Central Governance, Treasury Risk Management, Global Market Risk, Model Risk Management, or Quantitative Risk and Stress Testing. This role is based in our Buffalo office and requires on-site attendance.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform risk management tasks using measurement techniques like VaR, stress-testing, and scenario analysis.
    • Identify data quality issues through statistical and non-statistical data exploration.
    • Work on challenging projects to assess risk and develop business acumen.
    • Collaborate with management teams and receive mentorship from senior leaders.
    • Build your leadership skills while contributing to the risk organization.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a Masters degree in Engineering, Science, Technology, or Mathematics with a graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028.
    • 0-2 years of significant, related work experience.
    • Proficiency in analytical, coding, or data mining tools such as SAS, SQL, R, Python, Hadoop, Spark, MATLAB, Tableau, or PowerBI.
    • Technical proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

    • Status: Full-time, paid internship.
