About the role#
The Commercial Banking team in Houston focuses on clients within the Oil and Gas, Energy Transition, and Power and Utilities sectors. This 10-week summer program provides hands-on experience and formal training in credit, product, and professional skills. You will work within a coverage team, supporting relationship managers to deliver banking solutions to businesses with annual sales between $10 million and $3 billion.
What you'll do#
- Conduct company research and industry analysis.
- Analyze financial data and perform financial modeling, including company valuations and discounted cash flow analysis.
- Support the commercial lending process, such as revolving lines of credit, term loans, and syndicated loans.
- Take ownership of the client experience by partnering with bankers and product teams to identify client needs.
- Prepare business development presentations, pitch books, and prospect memos.
- Interact with internal partners across credit risk, legal, compliance, and technology teams.
What you'll need#
- Current major in Finance or Accounting.
- Expected graduation with a bachelor's degree in winter 2027 or spring 2028.
- Preferred GPA of 3.5 or above.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
