About the role#
This position is for previous interns transitioning into a full-time Facilities Engineer role. You will join the Horizons Program, an early-career development track that combines formal training, on-the-job competency development, and mentoring. Over your first five years, you will build a technical foundation while potentially rotating through different work locations.
What you'll do#
- Optimize facilities to deliver maximum value safely and reliably.
- Provide technical engineering support for turnarounds and projects.
- Develop and deploy technologies to reduce carbon, increase efficiency, and maximize returns.
- Use digitalization and data analytics to improve process operations and safety.
- Design and optimize systems for separation, purification, transformation, and transportation of hydrocarbons and other process streams.
What you'll need#
- You are currently completing the final year of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, or you have already graduated with one of these degrees and have two years or less of directly related work experience.
- Strong academic performance in your core program.
- Ability to drive on a routine basis if required by the position.

- This is a full-time, on-site position.
- Locations include Houston, Pasadena, and Midland, Texas; Bakersfield, El Segundo, and Richmond, California; Belle Chasse, Covington, and Geismar, Louisiana; Pascagoula, Mississippi; Salt Lake City, Utah; Ames, Iowa; and Greeley, Colorado.
