    About the role#

    CenterPoint Energy is seeking a Gas Engineering Intern for the Summer 2026 term. This internship is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and offers the opportunity to support engineering teams with various project-based tasks.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist designers with project design activities.
    • Research the status of public improvement projects.
    • Maintain and update Access databases and Excel spreadsheets regarding project status.
    • Provide data related to the completion of public improvement projects.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a full-time student pursuing an ABET-accredited Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
    • Sophomore, junior, or senior standing is preferred.
    • A strong GPA.
    • No previous work experience is required.

    • Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota.
    • Term: Summer 2026.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Employment type: Full-time paid internship.
