About the role#
The Business Operations Intern provides administrative support to our leadership team and stakeholders in Melville, New York. This is a paid, part-time position for the Winter 2027 term. You will work in a hybrid capacity, balancing onsite requirements with your academic schedule.
What you'll do#
- Provide administrative support including copying, scanning, mail delivery, and general office tasks.
- Assist with calendar management, meeting preparation, and expense report processing.
- Act as a receptionist for guest and visitor support.
- Prepare and update business documents using Microsoft Office.
- Support regional administrative projects and office priorities.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external clients, directing inquiries to the right resources.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an Associate or Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and intranet software.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as Copilot.
- Ability to multi-task and think independently.
- High level of attention to detail and strong customer service skills.
- Capability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
Location & details#
- Location: Melville, New York.
- Schedule: Minimum of 20 hours per week during core business hours.
- Onsite requirement: At least three days per week.
- Work blocks: Ability to work in segments of at least two hours throughout the week.
