About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. You will work on-site, assisting our team with the startup and commissioning of customer systems. This role requires travel for more than 50% of the work week, primarily within the local area.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the startup, commissioning, and re-commissioning of customer systems.
- Maintain accurate As-Built drawing packages and update files in Visio, Excel, and Word.
- Help calibrate systems using basic electronic test equipment, such as multi-meters and network terminals.
- Support static and dynamic commissioning of software programming.
- Set up operator workstations and perform daily job database backups.
- Track job progress and communicate status updates to lead project personnel and project management.
- Complete all required paperwork, including time sheets, expense reports, and work orders, on time.
- Coordinate with lead project personnel upon arrival and departure from work sites.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to be insured by our company carrier.
- Ability to climb ladders or use lift equipment above 8 feet.
- Ability to lift items up to 50lbs.
- Basic understanding of control logic and DDC control theory related to HVAC systems.
- Prior experience in HVAC or Building Automation is preferred.
