About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. You will work on-site to assist our field engineering team with the startup, commissioning, and re-commissioning of customer systems. This role requires travel for more than 50% of the work week.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the startup, commissioning, and re-commissioning of customer systems.
- Maintain accurate As-Built drawing packages and update documentation in Visio, Excel, and Word.
- Perform system calibrations using basic electronic test equipment.
- Support static and dynamic commissioning of software programming.
- Set up operator workstations and perform daily job database backups.
- Track job progress and report status updates to lead project personnel and project management.
- Complete all required paperwork, including time sheets, expense reports, and work orders.
- Communicate with lead project personnel upon arrival and departure from job sites.
- Assist with the final turnover of projects to the service team.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to be insured by our carrier.
- Willingness to travel more than 50% of the work week.
- Ability to climb ladders or use lift equipment above 8 feet and lift up to 50lbs.
- Basic understanding of control logic.
- Preferred: Knowledge of DDC control theory and HVAC applications, or prior experience in HVAC or Building Automation.
