About the role#
The Process Engineer Co-Op supports engineering activities for lime kiln processes and production units. You will work with the site management team and corporate process engineering on projects to support plant operations. This is a 6-month position spanning Summer and Fall 2026.
What you'll do#
- Identify production bottlenecks, create action plans, and track results.
- Assist engineers with designs, research, and calculations.
- Provide technical support to production, maintenance, quality, and environmental teams.
- Monitor process reliability to determine potential improvements.
- Prepare and maintain standard operating procedures and manuals.
- Conduct process and energy audits to find cost savings.
- Track raw material analysis and monitor stone quality.
- Report on heat and mass balance, downtime, and production figures.
What you'll need#
- Third or fourth-year student pursuing a bachelor degree in chemical or industrial engineering.
- Strong computer skills in MS Office, specifically Excel.
- Experience with root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
- A valid driver license.
- Ability to travel to other sites as needed.
