About the role#
This is a full-time co-op program based in Nevada. You will join the team for a minimum eight-month term starting in January 2027. The role is on-site and includes competitive pay, furnished housing, a personal vehicle, and return travel.
What you'll do#
- Work with production and maintenance teams to ensure environmental compliance and safe plant operations.
- Assist with engineering projects from experimental design through to construction and commissioning.
- Support automation efforts focused on data collection and process control.
- Perform regular process assessments to find ways to increase throughput or lower costs.
- Intervene to maintain safety standards and protect site assets.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate metallurgy or chemical engineering program.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate studies.
- Ability to research, analyze data, and draw conclusions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work across different departments.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of water treatment processes and simulation tools like JKSIMMET or METSIM is helpful.
- Familiarity with gold metallurgical processing principles is an asset.
