About the role#
Metal Technologies is hiring a Process Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This position provides an opportunity to apply classroom theory to real-world foundry operations. You will report to the Engineering department and work on projects focused on manufacturing process system improvements, equipment implementation, and cost reduction.
What you'll do#
- Work on continuous improvement projects across all departments.
- Create 3D models for various projects.
- Develop standardized processes, procedures, and work instructions.
- Collect data on production and quality information for troubleshooting.
- Improve product handling and process flows.
- Write programs in Excel to automate data entry and data collection.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Completion of at least the freshman year in your major.
- A minimum G.P.A. of 2.75/4.0.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test if you are a final candidate.
