About the role#
We are offering a 3-month Process Engineering internship for Summer 2027 at our port and refinery in Wilmington, California. You will work within the RTM Borates Department to support our operations. This role focuses on analyzing mechanical and instrumentation processes for failure modes and evaluating risks to maintain safety standards.
What you'll do#
- Manage multiple projects involving both field and office work.
- Apply academic concepts to real-world mining and refinery operations.
- Collaborate with operations teams and other departments to complete project goals.
- Work as part of a small, multidisciplinary team based at the port of Los Angeles.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least one year in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Current enrollment as a student at a recognized American university.
- Legal right to work full-time in the United States.
- A valid driving licence.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and an eagerness to learn.
- Ability to work with autonomy and flexibility.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
