About the role#
ELYSIS is working to commercialize technology that eliminates greenhouse gas emissions from aluminum smelting. As a Process Engineering Intern, you will work in an industrial environment alongside a multidisciplinary team of technicians and engineers. This is a full-time internship lasting 14 to 16 weeks during the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Apply Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) principles with a zero by choice attitude.
- Participate in research to develop or improve processes, chemical reactions, and products.
- Observe and document operational working methods for industrial processes.
- Assist in the delivery and commissioning of new industrial equipment.
- Collect and analyze databases, interpret findings, and propose solutions.
What you'll need#
- Completed at least one year of studies in chemical, metallurgical, materials, or process engineering.
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and maintain flexibility.
- A valid Driver’s License.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken, to support daily collaboration with global partners.
Location & details#
- The internship is based on-site in either Jonquière or Alma, Quebec, with the final location determined by operational needs.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
