About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern, you will join the Digital Technology and Data team to gain hands-on experience in real business situations. You will work as an individual contributor or as part of a project team, applying your engineering skills to support Cargill’s strategic initiatives. Throughout the summer, you will have access to mentorship, performance feedback, and opportunities to network with leadership and other interns across the organization.
What you'll do#
- Apply and build engineering skills in areas such as cloud platforms, big data platforms, and application development.
- Participate in project teams to solve complex business challenges.
- Engage in company events, including orientation, summer activities, and volunteer opportunities.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the Cargill organization and its diverse business functions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a major or minor in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technology discipline.
- Expected graduation date between December 2026 and Summer 2027.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Foundational knowledge of structured programming, systems analysis and design, database design, and business concepts.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness in completing tasks.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for third-party visa sponsorship.

- Location: Atlanta, Georgia.
- Term: 12-week internship during the summer (late May through early August).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: This is a paid, full-time internship.
