About the role#
The Software Engineer Intern will join the Digital Technology and Data team to gain hands-on experience in real business situations. This role involves working as an individual contributor or within project teams to support Cargill's strategic initiatives. Interns will receive mentorship, performance evaluations, and opportunities to network with leadership and peers across the organization.
What you'll do#
- Apply and build engineering skills in areas including cloud platforms, big data, and application development.
- Participate in events designed to provide exposure to leadership and cross-functional networking.
- Engage with diverse business functions to understand the broader Cargill organization.
- Complete assigned tasks and projects under the guidance of supervisors and mentors.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree with a major or minor in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technology discipline.
- Expected graduation date between December 2026 and Summer 2027.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Knowledge of basic structured programming, systems analysis and design, database design, and business concepts.
- Ability to complete a 12-week internship during the summer, from late May through early August.
- Legal right to work in the U.S. without reliance on student visa sponsorship.
