About the role#
As a Leasing Community Intern, you will serve as a representative for our residents and prospective clients. You will work to reach occupancy goals by retaining current residents and leasing available apartment homes. This role requires you to live on the property and maintain a professional presence within the community.
What you'll do#
- Greet prospective clients and answer leasing calls.
- Determine client needs and present apartment homes using the Cardinal Way of Leasing.
- Close sales and follow up with interested prospects.
- Complete lease applications and manage lease file paperwork.
- Assist with planning community events.
- Perform front desk administrative tasks.
- Keep the tour path clean and welcoming for visitors.
- Participate in required training and assist with community projects.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program at an accredited college or university with at least 6 credit hours.
- Completion of at least one year of college.
- A minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Status as a current or future leaseholder of the community.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Real Estate, Communications, or Marketing.
