About the role#
This co-op position supports the Process Systems Engineering team in Squamish. You will work on process modelling, data analytics, and automation solutions to help improve our technology and operations. This is a full-time, on-site role for a term of eight months or longer.
What you'll do#
- Support data migration and end-user adoption for published applications.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of in-house software tools.
- Validate and maintain asset templates that reflect functional and logical attributes.
- Test and refine asset templates based on feedback from the team.
- Use plant simulations to test supervisory control strategies.
- Support the development and testing of soft-sensor systems that combine data from historians, models, and instrumentation.
- Identify, report, and resolve unsafe conditions or processes in the workplace.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least the second year of a degree in Chemical, Process, or Electrical and Computer Engineering.
- Coursework or experience in process automation and controls.
- Experience with industrial automation systems and relational databases.
- Experience with graphical user interface and front-end development.
- Proficiency in technical computing and data analysis using Python.

- Location: Squamish, British Columbia, Canada.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: $22 to $26 per hour.
- Start Date: September 2026.
