About the role#
This is an 8-month internship for a Process Engineering Student within the Conventional business unit. You will work on-site in Calgary, supporting the design, construction, and optimization of oil and gas facilities. The role involves a 5-day work week, Monday through Friday, with 8-hour shifts.
What you'll do#
- Apply engineering principles to develop solutions for the Conventional business unit.
- Provide technical support to senior engineers across Facilities, Production, and Operations teams.
- Conduct equipment sizing and rating.
- Perform piping and pipeline hydraulic evaluations.
- Prepare and review process deliverables, including PFDs and P&IDs.
- Run process simulations.
- Support process safety initiatives and participate in process reviews such as PHA reviews.
- Liaise with area Facilities Engineers and Operations teams to align on goals and priorities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Chemical Engineering.
- A valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license or an equivalent out-of-province license.
- An understanding of safety system design, including flare systems and relief devices.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
