About the role#
S&B is looking for a Process Engineering Intern to assist with defined assignments using established design techniques and procedures. You will work under the supervision of experienced engineers and specialists, contributing to multi-discipline project teams in a collaborative office environment.
What you'll do#
- Visit existing plants to collect operating data and equipment information.
- Help prepare equipment specifications, inquiry documents, and purchase requisitions.
- Review vendor bids and drawings to ensure they meet project requirements.
- Create and maintain equipment lists, piping line lists, and specialty item lists.
- Assist in the development of design guides, specifications, and contract proposals.
- Participate in plant start-up activities.
- Provide technical guidance to design personnel as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Chemical Engineering at an accredited college or university.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate coursework.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
- Ability to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Proficiency in reading technical documents, writing reports, and communicating effectively with team members.
- Competence in mathematical concepts including geometry, trigonometry, and statistics.

- Physical requirements: You may occasionally visit construction sites or operating plants, which requires the ability to walk, climb, and lift up to 25 pounds.
