About the role#
As a Field Data Capture Student, you will work with experienced professionals to support the systems that manage field operations data. You will gain hands-on experience with enterprise applications used in the oil and gas industry, including PM Suite, EC, and ProTrend. This role involves collaborating across engineering, accounting, and information systems teams to solve business issues and maintain data integrations.
What you'll do#
- Learn key applications and become familiar with relevant business processes.
- Assist with testing and verification of application upgrades.
- Create and maintain process documentation for key tasks.
- Develop exception reporting to help field staff validate volumetric data.
- Participate in ad hoc projects as required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of an undergraduate degree in Operations Management or Computer Science.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work as a strong team player across different disciplines.
- Knowledge of oil and gas terminology is an asset.
- Familiarity with Oracle SQL and Oracle PL/SQL is an asset.
Location & details#
- Location: Calgary, Alberta (Head Office).
- Term: 12 months starting September 2027.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.
- Modality: On-site.
- This is a paid position.
