About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to support various applications and processes for Parkland Corporation. You will work with business teams and IT staff to understand business and technical processes, helping to deliver system enhancements. This role is based in Calgary and runs during the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Manage incidents by diagnosing root causes and working with the team to reach resolutions.
- Complete requests and tasks within supported applications.
- Serve as an IT liaison for internal and external contacts regarding assigned systems.
- Contribute to the Software Development Life Cycle and the Change Approval Board process.
- Translate and simplify business requirements into technical and functional requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Canadian post-secondary institution pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field. Preference is given to students in their 3rd, 4th, or 5th year of study.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and change management methodology.
- Strong analytical problem solving and technical writing skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A Business Analyst Certification is considered an asset.
