About the role#
As a Crude Oil Marketing Student at Canadian Natural Resources Limited, you will work alongside experienced professionals on projects that support our marketing operations. This role offers the chance to apply your academic background to real-world data and commercial analysis. You will contribute to daily operations and support the team with research, modeling, and presentation development.
What you'll do#
- Update supply and demand models to inform marketing decisions.
- Monitor daily commodity prices, pipeline flows, and inventory levels.
- Produce daily and weekly reports on pricing and commodity trends.
- Research oil sands production trends and commodity differentials.
- Create advanced PowerPoint presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support commercial evaluations using Excel modeling.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 2nd or 3rd year degree program in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Economics, or Engineering (Chemical, Civil, or Mechanical).
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Analytical and research capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous oil and gas marketing experience is an asset.
- Experience with Power BI, Access, or SQL platforms is an asset.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada without restrictions.

- Location: Calgary, Alberta.
- Work modality: On-site at our head office.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.
- Term options: Summer 2027 or Fall 2027 start dates.
- Employment type: Full-time.
