About the role#
As an Actuarial Student, you join a professional team to gain hands-on experience in the insurance industry. This is a 4-month full-time position starting January 4, 2027. You will work in functional areas such as Pricing, Valuation, Risk Management, or Reinsurance. The role offers a supportive environment where you can build relationships with other actuarial staff through professional development and team activities.
What you'll do#
- Participate as a key member of an actuarial team.
- Contribute to functional areas including Pricing, Valuation, Risk Management, or Reinsurance.
- Build strong professional relationships with actuarial staff.
- Engage in team building and professional development activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program with plans to return to school after the work term.
- Progress toward a degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, or Statistics.
- Demonstrated commitment to the field through exams, education, or related experience.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with Excel, Word, VBA, MS Access, or Moody's AXIS is an asset.
Location & details#
- This role is based in London, Ontario.
- The position operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring you to work in the office 3 days per week.
- This is a paid position.
