About the role#
Canada Life is hiring Actuarial Interns for an 8 to 12-month program beginning January 4, 2027. This is a full-time, paid position where you will work as a member of a professional actuarial team. You will have the opportunity to perform entry-level work in areas such as Pricing & Product Development, Valuation, Enterprise Risk Management, Reinsurance, Marketing Risk, Research, Corporate Actuarial, or Internal Audit. Interns participate in team building and professional development activities to help build relationships across the department.
What you'll do#
- Perform entry-level actuarial tasks in your assigned department.
- Collaborate with professional actuarial staff on projects.
- Engage in company-sponsored team building and professional development events.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail in your daily work.
What you'll need#
- Completion of a post-secondary degree before the start date, with preference for degrees in Mathematics, Finance, or Statistics.
- Demonstrated commitment to the actuarial field through the successful completion of professional actuarial exams.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to solve problems in innovative ways.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with Excel, Word, VBA, MS Access, or Moody’s AXIS is an asset.
Location & details#
- This is a hybrid role based in London, Ontario.
- You will be required to work in person at the London head office 3 days per week.
- The annual base salary range for this position is $49,020 to $96,330.
