About the role#
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our office in Houston. This position offers exposure to mechanical design, equipment specifications, and field applications for energy and infrastructure projects.
What you'll do#
- Support senior engineers by drafting and checking mechanical design documents.
- Assist with material take-offs, equipment data sheets, and vendor submittals.
- Learn mechanical standards and specifications for rotating and static equipment.
- Attend site visits, project team meetings, and vendor coordination calls.
- Conduct basic engineering research and write technical notes.
- Provide administrative help for project files, schedules, and engineering packages.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s program for Mechanical Engineering, preferably from an ABET-accredited school.
- Coursework knowledge in thermodynamics, materials science, and fluid mechanics.
- Familiarity with CAD software like SolidWorks or AutoCAD is helpful.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach with a focus on details.
