About the role#
This Mechanical Engineering internship provides hands-on experience in the oil and gas industry. You will support our engineering team with technical tasks including calculations, design reviews, and lab testing. This is a full-time, paid position based in Houston for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Perform pressure vessel calculations using ASME codes.
- Create drawings, bills of materials, and conduct design reviews for specific tasks.
- Coordinate with engineering labs to schedule and execute equipment tests.
- Develop templates and run regression analysis to predict shear pressures.
- Collaborate with the lab team to automate testing processes.
- Handle other engineering duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Graduate degree program at an accredited university, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools like Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- The ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Good interpersonal skills to support cross-functional collaboration.
