About the role#
Cal Poly Pomona Enterprises is hiring a part-time graduate student assistant for the Validation of Short and Long-Term Oven Aging Procedures research project. You will work under the supervision of Dr. Nicole G. Elias. This position is open to current Cal Poly students.
What you'll do#
You will support the research team through data analysis and statistical modeling. A background in pavement or civil engineering is not required for this role. Specific tasks include:
- Equality-line assessment
- ANOVA and interaction analysis
- Tukey pairwise comparisons
- Two One-Sided Tests (TOST)
- Potential machine learning applications
What you'll need#
- Must be a currently enrolled Cal Poly student
- Experience with statistical analysis and software like R Studio
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with instructional design tools like Canvas and Kaltura
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to collaborate with students, faculty, staff, and administrators
- Dependability and a self-starting attitude
- Experience with Minitab statistical software is preferred

This is an on-site position located in Pomona, California. The role is part-time with rolling availability.
