About the role#
The Finance Intern will complete a variety of finance and accounting duties under the supervision of site controllers and with guidance from finance leads. This internship provides exposure to various departmental functions and offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects. You will engage with experienced professionals in person at your site and across other locations.
What you'll do#
- Perform journal entries.
- Assist with financial modeling, analysis, and reporting tasks.
- Support the budgeting process.
- Contribute to automation and other high-value projects.
- Work as a team member to meet the needs of office staff, leaders, and customers.
- Provide customer service to help staff and clients reach their goals.
- Evaluate current systems and procedures to suggest process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program with a focus on Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or Economics.
- Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and handle multiple tasks successfully.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office suite skills.
- Ability to develop effective working relationships.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.
