About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will support our supply chain and project management teams by handling sourcing research, procurement tracking, and data analysis. The role includes a dedicated improvement project that you will manage throughout the summer, culminating in a final presentation of your results and recommendations.
What you'll do#
- Support competitive sourcing by researching suppliers and preparing RFQ information.
- Track purchase requisitions and purchase orders, including status reporting and delivery updates.
- Analyze data related to spend, pricing, and lead times to build dashboards and summaries.
- Maintain logs for project actions, risks, and decisions during cross-functional meetings.
- Coordinate a supply-chain improvement project, including scheduling, stakeholder updates, and final recommendations.
- Document sourcing files and processes to meet company policies and government requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program as a rising senior.
- Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or Operations Management.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to organize and analyze data accurately.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Oak Ridge, TN, Erwin, TN, or Jonesborough, TN.
- The internship lasts 10 to 12 weeks during the summer of 2027.
- Pay is $19.85 to $25.78 per hour.
