About the role#
As a Research & Development Engineering Co-Op in the WATCHMAN division, you will contribute to the design and development of medical devices for Left Atrial Appendage Closure. You will work on projects that support therapy education and clinical evidence to help physicians treat patients.
What you'll do#
- Design, fabricate, and prototype new device concepts based on clinical feedback.
- Create and implement test methods to evaluate device performance.
- Support product development teams with testing and development tasks.
- Research and analyze clinical and market data to identify new opportunities.
- Review procedural images and data to refine internal and external educational assets.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or dual master’s program for Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Graduation date between Fall 2027 and Spring 2029.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work full-time from May 17, 2027, to December 17, 2027.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

- This position is based in Maple Grove, Minnesota.
- Work is on-site, requiring presence in the office.
- You must have reliable transportation to commute to the office.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
