About the role#
This co-op position involves working in the chemistry lab to test and analyze body-worn drug delivery devices. You will focus on biocompatibility and patient safety. The term runs from January 11, 2027, through June 30, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Use GCMS and headspace autosamplers to conduct off gas analysis on Pod components.
- Apply FTIR to investigate foreign matter for R&D, manufacturing, or post-market needs.
- Study extractable and leachable profiles of the Pod using UPLC-MS.
- Coordinate sample submissions to contract labs.
- Write test protocols and reports for biocompatibility.
- Create and maintain tool files for laboratory procedures and instruments.
- Maintain accurate electronic or paper notebooks.
- Follow safety guidelines and assist other teams as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a BS or BA in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to operate chemistry-based lab equipment and tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A responsible, ethical, and data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Ability to follow direction.

- This role is based in Acton, Massachusetts.
- The work is hybrid, requiring at least four days per week on-site.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
