    About the role#

    As an R&D Software Engineer Intern, you will join the Active Implantable Systems (AIS) group. This team designs and develops products that monitor and treat heart conditions like irregular rhythms and heart failure. You will contribute to the development and testing of modeling tools that support AIS Firmware while gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative engineering environment.

    What you'll do#

    • Develop, program, and test modeling tools for AIS Firmware.
    • Support firmware verification and validation through tool development and automation.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including firmware, systems, hardware, and clinical engineering.
    • Design, fabricate, and test prototype devices to address clinical feedback.
    • Analyze large clinical databases to inform device design and procedural technique.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with an expected graduation date by May 2028.
    • Strong programming skills in C++.
    • Solid programming fundamentals and debugging skills.
    • Ability to commit to a 12-week program starting May 17th or May 24th.

    Location & details#

    • This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Arden Hills, Minnesota.
    • The program duration is 12 weeks.
