About the role#
This is a 12-month, full-time, paid internship position running from January 2027 to December 2027. You will work on-site at our manufacturing facility in Mississauga, Ontario.
What you'll do#
- Support the development and optimization of manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Draft 3D prototypes in SolidWorks and build prototype devices.
- Coordinate testing and assist in the development of validation and test plans.
- Lead LEAN initiatives to improve manufacturing processes.
- Prepare technical documentation, including drawings, work instructions, and training materials for new equipment.
- Design test methods or follow established protocols to ensure devices meet patient needs.
- Monitor safety practices and maintain compliance with ISO 13485 and FDA standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines while adhering to the Quality Policy.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in or recent graduation from a Bachelor's degree program in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Aerospace, or Biomedical Engineering.
- Experience with SolidWorks and Minitab.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma or LEAN methodologies.
- Experience working in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- A strong interest in biomedical technology.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- A self-starting, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently or with diverse teams of engineers and clinicians.

- Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
- Work modality: On-site, 5 days per week.
- Term: Winter 2027 start.
