About the role#
This is a 12-month full-time internship for the Winter 2027 term. You will work within the labour relations team in a hybrid capacity based in Mississauga, Ontario. This is a paid position.
What you'll do#
- Provide administrative support regarding collective agreement interpretation.
- Manage the grievance record tracker, track replies, maintain files, and support grievance hearings.
- Oversee overtime reconciliation and advise the business on overtime guidelines and liability reduction.
- Run weekly reviews of overtime reports and lead audit meetings with directors to ensure alignment with risk mitigation.
- Extract and analyze data from HR databases to generate regular labour relations reports.
- Assist with process improvement projects and attend team meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program for human resources, industrial relations, labour relations, human rights, law, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and under pressure while managing multiple deadlines.
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Ability to take initiative and work effectively as part of a team.

- Note: This role is open to current students only, not new graduates. Occasional travel outside of Canada may be required for training or work purposes.
