About the role#
The Grounds Maintenance Crew assists the grounds staff in maintaining the campus environment. This is a paid, part-time position available for the Fall 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Perform landscaping, hardscape maintenance, and irrigation tasks.
- Conduct ground-level tree work.
- Clean streets, sidewalks, and general campus areas.
- Clean and wax exterior fixtures, and clean reachable exterior windows and doors.
- Assist with storm cleanup, which may require working through the night to clear paths.
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs, and push or pull up to 100 lbs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Bob Jones University.
- A valid USA driver's license.
- A willingness to perform manual labor.
- Ability to commit to a minimum 2-hour work block per scheduled day.
- Note that this role is not suitable for individuals with severe allergies.
