Custodial Assistant (Student)

About the role#

Join a team of students responsible for cleaning and maintaining residence halls and select locations on campus. This role requires approximately 12 hours of work per week, typically consisting of two hours per weekday and one hour each on Saturday and Sunday. Schedules are flexible based on your availability.

What you'll do#

• Take ownership of your assigned area to keep it organized.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and bathrooms using established procedures.
• Sweep, mop, or vacuum floors and stairs.
• Empty and clean trash containers.
• Dust and wipe down surfaces in study lounges, vending rooms, and laundry rooms.
• Follow specific instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies.
• Report maintenance needs and cleaning requests to the Graduate Assistant responsible for your area.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment as a student at Bob Jones University or Bob Jones Academy (minimum 14 years of age).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to take initiative and follow detailed instructions.
• Physical ability to perform tasks including standing, stooping, squatting, lifting, carrying, and pushing.
