About the role#
Join a team of students to maintain the residence halls and select locations on campus. This is a paid position requiring approximately 12 hours of work per week, typically structured as 2 hours per weekday with one hour of work on Saturday and Sunday. The schedule is flexible based on your availability.
What you'll do#
- Take ownership of your assigned area and keep it organized.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and bathrooms using established practices.
- Sweep, mop, or vacuum floors and stairs.
- Empty and clean trash containers.
- Clean, dust, and wipe down surfaces in study lounges, vending rooms, and laundry rooms.
- Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies.
- Report schedule changes, maintenance needs, and extra cleaning requests to the responsible graduate assistant.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Bob Jones University or Bob Jones Academy (must be at least 14 years old).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to take initiative and follow instructions.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including standing, stooping, squatting, lifting, carrying, and pushing.
