About the role#
This position supports the daily operations of biology laboratory courses. You will assist in the preparation of materials and ensure that the science building remains a safe and orderly environment for all students.
What you'll do#
- Prepare reagents and supplies for laboratory courses, including setup and teardown.
- Assist students with gathering necessary materials for experiments.
- Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment.
- Manage inventory levels of supplies and reagents, requesting orders when necessary.
- Monitor activities within the science building and enforce student life policies during nights and weekends.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Bob Jones University.
- Enrollment in the Biology, Premed/pre-dent, or Biochemistry and Molecular Biology programs (students in other Natural Sciences or Science Education programs will also be considered).
- Ability to execute basic laboratory techniques with diligence and accuracy.
- Demonstrated leadership or collaborative skills.
