About the role#
The Academic Resource Center Liaison supports student success by assisting visitors, students, and faculty within the Alumni Building. This role involves promoting center resources, maintaining building operations, and representing the department during campus events.
What you'll do#
- Provide support for academic coaching, testing, accommodations, tutoring, and study groups as directed by management.
- Assist students and visitors with questions and navigation within the Alumni Building.
- Promote the Academic Resource Center to students, faculty, staff, and parents.
- Conduct tours for visitors and First-year Seminar classes.
- Represent the center during BJU Up Close events.
- Serve as the Alumni Building Host, which includes managing classroom usage inquiries, securing the third floor, providing backup for the Testing Center, and closing the building in the evening.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Bob Jones University (second semester freshman or above).
- Demonstrated Christlike character, including a desire to serve others, teachability, and a strong work ethic.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to handle routine clerical duties.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Self-motivation, initiative, and a spirit of helpfulness.
