About the role#
This position supports the Heating and Air Conditioning Department at Bob Jones University. You will assist with the maintenance and repair of campus climate control systems.
What you'll do#
- Change HVAC filters across campus facilities.
- Replace air conditioning units that are no longer operating.
- Perform preventative maintenance on motors and blowers.
- Navigate various work environments, including climbing extension ladders, entering tunnels, accessing crawl spaces, and working on roofs.
- Lift, carry, push, or pull equipment weighing up to 75 lbs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Bob Jones University, the Academy, or AHE.
- A mechanical mindset and experience using hand and electric tools.
- Availability to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer.
- Majors in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Environmental Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or Kinesiology are preferred.

- This is an on-site, full-time position for the Fall 2026 term.
