About the role#
As a Trade Desk Support Analyst, you will join our team for a four-month internship during the Winter 2027 term. This role focuses on the operational side of securities and trade transaction processing. You will work on-site in Toronto to ensure that trades are booked accurately for settlement and provide support for new trading strategies. You will also assist with the daily capture of transactional data to support analytics and financial accounting.
What you'll do#
- Support and deliver operational processes for securities and trade transaction processing.
- Ensure trade transactions are booked correctly for downstream settlement.
- Capture transactional information daily for analytics and accounting purposes.
- Maintain governance and controls over trade capture processes.
- Gather and format data into reports and dashboards.
- Execute routine tasks such as service requests, transactions, and queries.
- Follow documented policies and procedures to ensure service level agreements are met.
- Check and reconcile information and documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Analyze data to provide insights and recommendations.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Communicate directly with clients to resolve trade issues.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on business objectives.
- Support the development of tools and the delivery of training.
- Apply the Risk Management Framework to protect the bank and ensure operational integrity.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an academic program with an intention to return to studies.
- A strong desire to learn and a motivated approach to work.
- Proficiency in PC skills, specifically MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
