About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship position for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site in Peterborough, Ontario, supporting Investment Advisors and branch staff with daily administrative tasks. This role focuses on client service and requires a commitment to maintaining professional standards while learning the foundations of wealth management.
What you'll do#
- Provide service to clients and assist in managing portfolios to help retain and grow relationships.
- Maintain and organize client files and databases.
- Support Investment Advisors with individual client investment needs.
- Work with BMO partners and the local team to deliver consistent service.
- Follow risk and compliance policies to protect bank and client assets.
- Handle confidential information with care.
- Complete standardized tasks under supervision and perform initial problem solving within established rules.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an academic program with the intent to return to studies following the internship.
- Basic verbal and written communication skills suitable for a business environment.
- Basic organizational and team collaboration skills.
- A willingness to learn through on-the-job training.
