About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site at our branch in Magog, Quebec. This role is designed for students pursuing studies in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics who want to gain hands-on experience in retail banking.
What you'll do#
- Deliver service to customers and prospects while identifying their financial needs.
- Act as a lobby leader to welcome clients, guide them through digital banking options, and conduct conversations about financial services.
- Collaborate with the branch team to identify referral opportunities and meet business objectives.
- Review customer profiles to offer advice on banking plans and credit card solutions.
- Manage operational tasks such as inventory, filing, and opening or closing activities.
- Integrate marketing promotions into customer interactions.
- Ensure all actions follow risk and compliance policies to protect bank assets and maintain customer privacy.
- Analyze issues, determine next steps, and escalate complex tasks when necessary.
What you'll need#
- Fluency in both French and English.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience or certification.
- Registration to sell investment products completed or currently in progress.
- Experience in consultative customer service or sales roles.
- Proficiency with social media, tablets, smartphones, and online tools.
- Knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to solve problems, listen effectively, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
