About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship position for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site in Victoriaville, Quebec, as part of the retail banking team. This role focuses on delivering service to customers, identifying financial needs, and supporting branch operations.
What you'll do#
- Deliver service to customers and provide advice on financial solutions.
- Welcome customers in the branch and guide them through digital and self-serve banking options.
- Collaborate with branch partners to identify referral opportunities and achieve business objectives.
- Review customer profiles to identify needs-based opportunities for banking plans and credit cards.
- Conduct client conversations to recommend alternative banking channels and provide personal banking advice.
- Support operational activities including inventory management, filing, and service requests.
- Integrate marketing promotions into customer interactions.
- Monitor for suspicious activity to prevent money laundering and apply the Risk Management Framework to protect bank assets.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or background in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
- Fluency in both French and English.
- Between 0 and 2 years of relevant experience.
- Registration to sell investment products completed or in progress.
- Experience in consultative customer service or sales roles.
- Ability to use social media, tablets, smartphones, and online tools.
- Strong interpersonal, listening, and problem-solving skills.
- A resourceful, self-starting approach to working in a team-based environment.
- Basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions.
