About the role#
As a Database Analyst intern, you will join the BMO campus program for an 8-month term starting in Winter 2027. You will work on an analytics platform, helping to manage core operations and data products. This role focuses on maintaining data quality, improving operational flows, and supporting cloud migration processes. You will work independently to solve problems while applying risk management frameworks to protect bank assets.
What you'll do#
- Develop, maintain, and manage an analytics platform.
- Ensure data storage and processing meet quality, traceability, and security standards.
- Scale operational data flows to support data modeling, machine learning, and data science requirements.
- Build and lead production support functions, including establishing tiered support and managing escalations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to drive innovation and optimize platform functionality.
- Proactively monitor data platform workflows and establish operational best practices.
- Support the migration of data to the cloud.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an academic program with an intent to return to studies.
- Academic background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Data Science.
- Foundational knowledge in database management, repository design, and data integration.
- Experience or coursework in system and technology integration, analytical platforms, and data security.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on systems thinking.
- Proficiency in managing change, building relationships, and technology delivery management.
