About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineer Intern for our Data Center projects, you will join our Buildings team to help solve infrastructure challenges. You will contribute to project designs and gain hands-on experience while working alongside our engineering staff. This is a full-time position for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Develop and evaluate design specifications and contract drawings.
- Design systems including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, standby power, and flood control.
- Prepare basic engineering calculations and assist with equipment selection.
- Support engineering analyses and report production.
- Analyze systems using computer modeling software.
- Coordinate with other project disciplines and help schedule deliverables.
- Collect, organize, and evaluate project data.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET accredited university studying Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- Coursework in Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, and Fluid Dynamics is preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in mathematics, problem solving, and computer applications.
- Ability to pass pre-employment requirements including a criminal and civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search.
