About the role#
BDO Canada is hiring a Co-op student or Intern for our Mergers and Acquisitions and Capital Markets team. This position is based in our Toronto office and runs from January to April 2027. You will work on a full-time basis as part of a team focused on business development and live deal engagements.
What you'll do#
- Prepare pitch-books and presentation materials for business development.
- Conduct research on markets, industries, and specific companies.
- Identify and compile lists of potential buyers and acquisition targets.
- Draft marketing documentation, including Confidential Information Memorandums.
- Assist with financial analysis, such as financial modelling and comparable company analyses.
- Participate in the due diligence process for active deals.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary business program with a focus on accounting or finance.
- A strong interest in Mergers and Acquisitions.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform accurate work under pressure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

- Compensation: $48,000 - $60,000 per year.
