About the role#
BDO Canada is seeking a Co-op or Intern to join the Cyber Cloud Security delivery team for the Winter 2027 term. This full-time, hybrid role focuses on supporting cloud security engagements through assessment, design, implementation, and optimization. You will work alongside our team to advise clients on secure technologies and architectures while developing your expertise in the field.
What you'll do#
- Assist in reviewing infrastructure designs on-premise and in the cloud, including container, data, network, and operational security architectures.
- Help develop and maintain security documentation such as policies, standards, and procedures tailored for cloud environments.
- Collaborate with leading cloud service providers and security vendors to identify appropriate technologies for client needs.
- Research current cloud technology trends to identify potential threats and exposures to our clients.
- Review security-related events, assess risk, and report on security postures with recommended corrective actions.
- Author detailed, accurate reports for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Assist with the proposal development process.
- Work directly with clients to ensure they understand the impact of assessment findings on the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of their organization.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Cyber Security or a related technology-centric field.
- Demonstrated interest and dedication to a career in cyber security through relevant extra-curricular activities.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to create clear, concise technical reports, documentation, and presentations.
