About the role#
BCI is hiring for an Internal Audit and Controls Co-op/Intern for the Winter and Summer 2027 terms. You will join the Corporate Risk and Audit department to support assurance engagements and departmental initiatives. This role provides a view of organizational processes and the chance to work across various business areas.
What you'll do#
- Research investment industry trends and emerging risk areas.
- Assist in the planning and execution of internal audit engagements.
- Identify and implement improvements for data visualization.
- Create quarterly dashboards for organizational changes.
- Coordinate with external auditors and document key processes.
- Facilitate audit activities and support cross-departmental projects.
- Assist with automation efforts and tool development.
What you'll need#
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to gather and process information.
- Concise presentation skills using Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel.
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently.
- Experience with AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Claude is preferred.
