About the role#
BBI Logistics is hiring an Accounting Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This program provides hands-on experience by working directly with our accounting team. You will learn about bookkeeping, record keeping, and payroll administration while gaining exposure to the logistics industry.
What you'll do#
- Answer carrier questions regarding payment status and rate verification.
- Determine payment terms for carriers and factoring companies.
- Process loads for payment by verifying delivery and finalizing financials.
- Enter paperwork into the TMS system and bill customers.
- Call out for loads over 30 days old that are missing paperwork.
- Write electronic checks to carriers.
What you'll need#
- Junior or senior undergraduate status pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- High proficiency in Excel.
- Working knowledge of accounting principles.
- Ability to work on-site at our Columbus office for the full 11-week program.
