About the role#
BBI Logistics is hiring students for a summer internship program. This role provides hands-on experience in the transportation and supply chain industry. You will work with a dedicated mentor and a sales team to learn the sales cycle while gaining industry knowledge. This is a paid, full-time, 11-week program.
What you'll do#
- Complete training on the logistics industry, operational tasks, and our proprietary TMS software.
- Work alongside an Account Executive to manage freight movement and solve problems in real time.
- Negotiate and communicate with customers and carriers.
- Participate in cold calling and customer-based role play activities.
- Build a prospect list of 200 or more potential customers.
- Collaborate with other interns through volunteer activities and company outings.
- Work toward earning the BBI Elite Sales Certificate.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior undergraduate status pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or Communications.
- Ability to work on-site at our Tampa or Columbus office for the duration of the 11-week program.
- A hard-working, competitive spirit and a desire to learn about a career in sales.
- Capacity to work in an environment that requires quick learning.
