About the role#
This internship supports the planning and execution of fundraisers and community events. You will work with the Director of Development to coordinate logistics, manage auction items, and handle guest communications. This is a paid, part-time student worker position requiring 20 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Assist with event coordination, including decor selection and food service logistics.
- Manage auction items for specific events.
- Handle guest communications and outreach.
- Develop and implement promotional campaigns to market events.
- Coordinate on-site operations on the day of events.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student eligible for Federal Work-Study.
- Strong organization and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, and Constant Contact.
- Ability to commute to an off-campus location, as reliable transportation is required.
- Preferred: Fluency in a second language.
- Relevant academic background in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications.

- Location: Waco, Texas.
- Work Modality: On-site at Waco Habitat for Humanity.
- Terms: Summer 2026 and Fall 2026.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
