About the role#
This internship supports the planning and execution of events and fundraisers for Habitat for Humanity. You will work directly with the Director of Development to coordinate logistics, manage auction items, and handle guest communications. This position requires a detail-oriented individual capable of managing multiple tasks in a professional environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the planning and execution of events and fundraisers.
- Manage auction items for specific events.
- Handle guest communications and support promotional campaigns.
- Strategically market events to increase engagement.
- Coordinate event day operations, including decor selection and food service logistics.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student eligible for Federal Work-Study.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, and Constant Contact.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications.
- Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
Location & details#
- Location: Waco, Texas.
- Work modality: On-site at Waco Habitat for Humanity.
- Schedule: 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm.
- Terms: Summer 2026 and Fall 2026.
- Reliable transportation is required for this off-campus position.
