About the role#
The Texas Collection and University Archives at Baylor University is hiring a student worker for the Fall 2026 term. You will assist with projects involving archival collections, rare books, maps, and photographs. This is an on-site, paid position located at the Carroll Library in Waco, Texas.
What you'll do#
- Inventory, process, and preserve library and archival collections.
- Build finding aids and work on special projects involving manuscripts and rare items.
- Monitor researchers in the reading room and help patrons with scanning.
- Provide customer service to clients and assist with other assigned business operations.
- Participate in professional development and training activities.
What you'll need#
- A minimum cumulative Baylor GPA of 2.5.
- Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good research and writing skills.
- The ability to work with limited supervision, make good decisions, and show initiative.
- The physical ability to lift boxes and other heavy materials.
- Majors in History, Communications, Logistics, Human Resources, or Art are preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Carroll Library, Waco, Texas.
- Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week, with a minimum of 10 hours required. Shifts occur between 8am and 5pm.
- Term: Fall 2026.
